- Phase-I: Written test (100 marks) with 50 Multiple Choice Questions on General English, General Knowledge & Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, etc. Each question carries 2 marks, with a penalty of 1 mark for each wrong answer. Test duration: 60 minutes. Successful candidates proceed to Phase-II and Personality Test in a ratio of 1:5 to the vacancies.
- Phase-II: Computer Proficiency and Writing Skills (100 marks): Candidates answer questions in English related to Draft Note, Report, Letter Writing, Paragraph Writing, Precis Writing, etc., using a computer. Test duration: 2 hours. Candidates must sign the printout of their answers.
- Phase-III: Personality Test (40 marks): Candidates shortlisted from Phase-II for a Personality Test. Final panel preparation based on total marks from Phase-I, Phase-II, and Phase-III. Exam standard: Graduation level.
(b) Lower Division Clerk and Seal Bailiff:
- Written Examination (100 marks): 50 Multiple Choice Questions on Simple Arithmetic, English, Bengali, and General Knowledge. Each question carries 2 marks, with a penalty of 1 mark for each wrong answer. Test duration: 60 minutes. Successful candidates proceed to Personality Test in a ratio of 1:5 to the vacancies.
- Personality Test (20 marks): Candidates shortlisted from the written examination. Final panel preparation based on total marks from the written examination and personality test. Exam standard: Similar to the Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.
